Rootz Soul Cafe - North Lauderdale

I ordered the “Vegan Chik’n Dinner,” which comes with two sides. I chose the “Mac and Cheeze” and the “Baked Beans.” I would definitely order this again!

The girl sandwich is fantastic! I ordered the classic chick with fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The fries (and I’m not usually a fan of fries) were perfectly hot, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The sandwich itself was incredible; the portion of chicken was generous, and the texture was excellent. It came on a really good bun with fresh salad, tomatoes, and cheese. The menu mentioned pickles, but they ended up being on the side.

The restaurant has a clean and simple atmosphere. I visited for lunch, and the service was excellent; my takeout was ready right away. The Japanese rice with tofu was delicious, and the portion size was generous. It would be even better if the menu were entirely vegan, but overall, I had a great experience.
