Wig Pen Pizza North Liberty

I attempted to call several times, but the line was always busy. I decided to place an order online, only to find it deleted about five minutes later. I thought they might be closed, but since I live nearby, I drove to the restaurant. When I arrived, the staff informed me they were "made of pizza dough," which seemed to be their excuse for not answering the phone. Why wouldn’t they at least pick up to inform customers about the situation? I’m not impressed by this experience, especially given my previous visits. I’ve decided to switch to the Coralville location from now on, as it seems this place suffers from poor management.

I called the restaurant at 5:50 PM on Saturday, and they informed me that we needed to place our order online an hour in advance—something I've never encountered before. We placed the order, but just 20 minutes later, we received a call notifying us that our order had been canceled because the restaurant doesn't take orders on Saturday nights. This was frustrating and ultimately ruined our plans for dinner that evening.

We typically visit the Wig and Pen in Iowa City, and we love their deep dish Union Jack pizza. However, we were disappointed with our pizza this time. It only had about two pieces of sausage and one or two slices of pepperoni on each slice of the medium-sized pizza. It just wasn’t the same as what we usually enjoy.

We love wig and pen, best pizza in north Liberty! Our favorite is the spicy Hawaiian and Union Jack. Owner is great and gave us a free pizza because he liked my hat. Great pizza and people!

My favorite pizza place. The wings are so crispy and big! Honestly it's amazing. I feel for them because they put out such a great product so they are so busy! My food was over a half hour late being ready last Friday night but it was absolutely worth it. They were all working so hard to keep up with the orders. Truly a great place.
