Írjon visszajelzéstWe have been to the Bistro Muse a few times for lunch and also have experienced the dinner/theatre evening events (different dates through the summer). Lunch on a beautiful sunny day while sitting in the garden vineyard area is great. The menu is varied fresh salads, shared plates or delicious meals (the ribs are very tasty!). The dinner/theatre evening is a wonderful evening experience. They serve a buffet meal followed by a play by a local theatre company. They also offer the theatre on a few Sundays throughout the summer, so you could have lunch beforehand. There is also wine tasting available and a small retail area selling local crafts and wine-related objects. The staff are always pleasant and attentive. If you are coming from Victoria take West Saanich Road for a leisurely country drive out to Deep Cove and then relax and have a wonderful meal at the Bistro Muse. If you are coming off the ferries turn off the highway at Wain Road and carry on towards Deep Cove. You will not be disappointed.
We went to Sea Glass Grill in Sidney for breakfast and then drove north & west on Lands End Road to get to Muse Winery. We didn't eat there, but I must say the drive on Lands End Road was magnificant. The Muse winery was very pretty and the bistro looked wonderful. If we had not already eaten we would have tried it. The menu looked good and the outdoor tables surrounded by grape vines looked very inviting.
We enjoyed a leisurely drive from Victoria up to North Saanich to try out Bistro Muse - well worth the trip. Outdoor seating was in a small patio next to the vinyard. Blue the Bistro Dog greeted us in a very mannerly way with her one blue and one brown eye!The regular-sized seafood salad was generous - and more crab meat than I've ever seen on a salad! Ribs were tender and succulent, and the accompanying muse salad was deelish, and again, generous. The veggie panini with added salami was yummy with melted cheese and avocados - not overfilling. Finished our meal with berry crumble and truffles. Service was low key and attentive - chef herself brought out some of our dishes! Be sure to take a look at art by local artists in the Ortega Room, the bistro's event venue. Oh, and yes, they have wine!
Went here with my wife on a driving tour on a wet and cold day. It was Sunday and very few people around at lunch time. Even though it kept raining, we sat outside under an umbrella, amongst the vines. Fabulous environment and very friendly staff. We tasted the Foch Noir 2010, which is a lovely red wine with a very amusing description of the "warrior princess" of legend on the bottle - the most erotic bottle label I have ever seen! We only had a glass each, so the staff recorked the bottle, so we could finish it off back at our cottage in Cadboro Bay.For food we had bruschetta and humus, which was an excellent combination. We bought a bottle of the Pinot Gris white for the evening.Definitely a winery to recommend.
We live within walking distance of this wonderful spot, and have been remiss in not reviewing it earlier. While the winery is open most of the year, the Bistro is only open in the summer, starting in early May. They have a lovely patio, beside the vineyard, a very reasonably priced menu (all taxes included) - the Muse salad, seafood salad and Winemakers ribs are favourites, and you can buy a bottle of Muse wine - or more - to enjoy with your meal, and take home what you don't drink. The service is friendly and efficient, and, as a bonus, in the spring/early summer, you can watch the antics of a pair of eagles and their young high up in a tree just at the edge of the vineyard.
