Oliver's on James - Northbridge

A bit noisy but good place to go and good food, but a bit expensive. Nice to go there in group also. Daily's suggestion are very good too and often cheaper then the main plate in the menu. Nice decoration. Food taste very good and they have a good risotto as well many other plates to taste.

Over an hour to receive our food after numerous enquiries, and then arrived at inconsistent intervals. Food average at best.

We brought our overseas visitors to Northbridge to experience the atmosphere and enjoy a great meal. We had a order taken and then proceeded to wait for over an hour for the meal. No updates from the staff on the delay. We had to ask 3 times for follow ups on the delay. When the meals finally came, one was still left out and we had to follow up again. Very disappointing and unfortunately it does ruin the dining experience.

We found this on the tripadvisor website and wandered over. Luckily there was a two available, probably would have been better to book. We had a starter and a pizza each. Freshly cooked with good ingredients. Probably best meal we had in Perth

We thought we would give this place a try following my daughters graduation. Service was good. Garlic bread to start was very good. I had the deconstructed caesar salad. Over cooked chicken leg, soggy croutons, a fried egg and some lettuce. Two children had prawn spaghetti. The dish included lime and that was the overpowering flavour. Rubbery prawns which I think must have been frozen. Wife had pork belly which she really liked. One child had pizza and said it was OK. We weren't asked once what we thought of the food. Probably trying to be over ambitious with the menu and maybe should stick to basics. To be fair if we'd all gone for Pork Belly or Pizza the score would have been much higher.
