Browns - Nottingham

This is the third year in a row that I've celebrated my birthday with a meal here. The first time, I received a complimentary glass, and then they wrote "Happy Birthday" on my dessert plate. This year, my partner ordered the steak, and they made a special effort to cook it to my preferred medium-rare. My partner thoroughly enjoyed their well-done steak as well. Thanks to the excellent service at Browns, I had a lovely evening!

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the afternoon, but I found there were too many cakes and not enough sandwiches. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I even took my leftover cake home. However, I was unhappy to notice that a surcharge was added to my bill without prior notice, and I wasn’t aware of it until I had already paid. I would have chosen not to leave a tip if I had known.

The service was excellent, and the food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this place! (My original review got lost in cyberspace, so I wanted to quickly share my thoughts.) Thank you again for a wonderful evening! xx

Overall Brown’s is a really good place for lunch and it had plenty on the restaurant menu and the bar menu to make a return visit worthwhile. Not a 9hr flight return visit, just if one happened to be in the area.
