Chata Polanka - Nove Hrady

Very nice and it seems like a famous place. A lot of cyclists, tourists, and random travelers came here for lunch. Besides the restaurant, there is also a small hotel or pension. Draft beer and kofola are a must, the food is traditional Czech and tasty. The service is friendly, maybe a bit slow but they tried. You can sit inside or outside, there is a beautiful pond and a small playground for children. I recommend stopping by if you pass by and enjoy a meal or drink in a pleasant environment before continuing your journey.

We visited this restaurant for a meal after hearing good reviews, but we were very disappointed. The staff did not acknowledge us and we had to grab a menu ourselves after 15 minutes of waiting. We were not even offered water for our dogs. Despite being looked at by multiple staff members, none of them asked if we wanted to order. After waiting for another 15 minutes, we decided to approach a waiter for our order, but she avoided us. We ended up waiting unnecessarily for our food and drinks. The experience was frustrating and we felt like we wasted our time. We would not recommend this restaurant as the staff was inattentive and unhelpful. We will not be returning due to the poor service we received.

After waiting 15 minutes without being offered a menu or any service by the staff, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Despite being with our dogs and clearly visible to the staff, we were ignored in favor of other customers who arrived after us. We were disappointed by the lack of attention and service, and would not recommend this restaurant.
