I did not want to give one single star also for their food or service or atmosphere. When we went along with kids ordered gobi 65, they gave it without Salt and the gobi was like eating the plain boiled cauliflower , completely plain, kids started to reject their food plate. 5 adults also tasted and said zero salt and no taste in the gobi plate. When we call them and told that and they were challenging all 5 of us like it has enough salt and spicy and they tasted while preparing it as salt is there and we forced her to taste one piece but they denied and was rude to touch gobi and carelessly said she will fix it and give. Later they added chat masala and salt to it and gave us. There was no acceptance for our comments and could have checked what best can try to make it better, After effect of eating the chatmasala mixed food was horrible and not able to have food anymore, we visit for an authentic taste but it was our mistake, Also the response from them made us like we are having food there with free of cost. When we give feedback they are making weird faces on us. Definitely not going to visit here again. Also not recommend any of my friends to go there.
We're delighted with our experience at Novi! As adherents to a vegan, gluten-free diet, discovering outstanding Indian cuisine can be tough, but Novi exceeded all our hopes. From the exceptional customer service to the remarkably delicious and flavorful dishes, we were thoroughly impressed. We're already eagerly looking forward to our next visit!
Absolutely amazing! The flavors at Turmerican Vegetarian Cuisine are out of this world. Each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. A definite must-try for any vegetarian or vegan food lover!
May 2024 Update:After a hiatus of almost 2 years from this restaurant, we decided to give the restaurant yet another try and see if they got their act together. To our utter regrets, yet another Mother 's Day dinner went to Hell in a Handbasket. This time we ordered Idli and Dosas. Before ordering, we asked the food to be piping hot and served as soon as a dish was ready. To our satisfaction the food was served as it was ready but not done right. 1 of the 3 dosas was prepared wrong and 2 were just lumpy, so we asked for replacement. At 1st the service staff insisted that was done right and insisted that 's how it was supposed to be. Then, when I demanded a refund, they reluctantly replaced one of the Dosas.Bottom line quality and attitude of the staff was JUST UNACCEPTABLE.Not to our surprise, the staff was still not dressed for servicing a restaurant. The staff did not have proper hair cover on. Couple of them were running out in the kitchen with their hair loose. Yes, they have an open kitchen layout. And oh yes, for the prices are now even higher. This time we paid over $90 for 3 people. This simply is highway robbery. Dining out at its competitor is far classier and cheaper. Our strong recommendation: Save your valuable time and money and take your business somewhere else. Aug 2022 Update:Even with the bad experience back in May, we decided to give the restaurant yet another try and see if they got their act together. To our dismay and disappointment, the service and quality of food have degraded even further. It was a. early Saturday evening with barely any customers in the restaurant and yet the food served was ice cold. When asked to have food served hot, the server rolled their eyes at us as if we were speaking to the wall. Not only that, it took them 25 minutes to serve a re-heated dish that we watched them toss into a microwave for reheating. As for ordered Dosas, they were prepared and left on the prep table to get cold before being served. Not only they were cold. we asked them to be well cooked and crispy. Instead, we got served cold and lumpy Dosas. THAT IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE.The staff was not dressed for servicing a restaurant. They were running around delivering food to the tables in their loungewear outfits and bedroom slippers. Regardless of the business class, there has to be some sort of dressing etiquette to be followed. And oh yes, for the prices they charge per dish, this is a fast-food joint and NOT a lavish sit-down restaurant. This time we paid over $75 for cold food for 3 people. That is simply an outrageous price to pay for low-quality food and service. With that said, although it is only one of the handful of vegetarian/vegan Indian restaurants in the area, this restaurant is off the list and a big No-No for us.VISITORS BEWARE.... May 2022 ReviewVery bad experience. Food serving was delayed. Although the food tasted good, it was served cold. Compared to other Indian restaurants nearby, the price per plate is obnoxiously high and exorbitant.Buyers beware. If you are using a credit card to pay for your food, be advised that this restaurant charges you a 3.5% service charge on top of the already high price for each dish. This charge is NOT displayed anywhere on their Menus or the display screens. It comes printed on the receipt AFTER you have paid for the food.Update to the Owner:No, We did not order Mother 's Day special. We spent well over $200.00 for dinner on Mother 's Day. Not only the food was sub-par, the person taking the order did not have the courtesy to honor the order. We had ordered coffee TO BE SERVED with food and NOT at the end of the meal. Plus, what restaurants serve undercooked Pooris and Naans before the accompanied Curries are ready to be served? And YES, the prices are way too high for the quality of service and quality of food that is served. So get your act together if you would want to be business for years to come.
