Írjon visszajelzéstThe food was pretty good. I ordered cinnamon crepes and nutella banana crepes. However, the server tried to be funny but I found it a bit rude unfortunately.
This was our first day in Germany and we were visiting the old town centre when we thought we would stop for lunch. Immediately we were treated rudely by the waiter. As we waited for a menu, one person in our party tried to determine whether it was table service or a counter service/deli type restaurant. The waiter was abrupt, rude to a female in our party when she asked a question of clarification and then rude again to one of the gentlemen when he went inside the restaurant to use the washroom. The only reason we stayed was that we were pressed for time as we were part of a tour group.
I've read quite a few negative reviews of this little cafe. We were on a city tour of Nuremberg and lunch was included but we wanted to try something other than another example of a wholesome German lunch prepared for large groups. After walking around we decided to try the Cafe Pfannkuchle as their menu complete with crepes looked interesting. Our server spoke a lot more English than I spoke German. She understood my German and seemed to appreciate me trying. My wife and I both ordered the 4 cheese crepes. Each of our orders came with 2 crepes which we didn't realize. They were very good. We enjoyed our lunch very much. They started getting very busy as we were finishing and so it took a while longer to get our server back to pay. But it all worked out fine. We made it back to meet up with our group in time. Bottom line we had a very nice experience here for lunch.
We love Crepes and eat them everywhere we go... at this place they serve you something they call Crepes... it is anything else but... very unfriendly service to say the least... stay far far away !!!
I had a bad experience at this cafe as a tourist. I don't speak German except for a few words, but tried my best to order food in German at this place. The lady working behind the counter had me repeat what I wanted, reading it from the German menu three times, while she laughed at me because I couldn't pronounce the German words properly. I felt totally humiliated. The staff wouldn't engage much with my attempts to order and clearly none spoke English, or they wouldn't speak it to me. I finally understood I should go sit at a table and that they would come take my order (this after my reading of the menu apparently for their amusement, as described above). I waited outside for quite a long time and no one came. I went back inside to say that I did not want to order after all, since I had run out of time waiting for them. Quite suddenly, one of the staff was able to speak just about perfect English and arranged to get a takeaway order ready for me within two minutes. She was polite and helpful. My head was spinning at this point. The food itself was okay, not great but not terrible. I would never return there because of the service. I think if you speak German quite well you may not have any problems there, though.
