Desilva Food Centre - Nuwara Eliya

When hunger squeezes beyond the rice, the noodles and curry are no more than finding a place that offers something different. The DeSilva Food Centre, on the commercial street of Nuwara Eliya, has Western food for which you want to leave, among other things, a burger. Although food is not crazy, at least burgers, they do come in good quantities and prices are not high. The place is nice and the service very correct.

This hidden restaurant is a true treasure, with welcoming service and a hands-on owner. The local dishes are delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. The cozy atmosphere makes it ideal for gatherings with loved ones. The menu has something for everyone, guaranteeing a satisfying and unforgettable dining experience. We can't wait to return!

The cleanliness was terrible, with a bad odor upon entering. There was no ambiance, and the service was mediocre. The food was the worst I have ever had in Sri Lanka. I would not recommend this restaurant even to an enemy.

Worst place for dining and the service is zero. The waiters waitresses are selective with their customers. We called for a waitresses to give our order, she just ignored us and went to a table where some foreigners were seated. During the pandemic, these hotels were begging for customers to come in, and now when tourism is booming they have forgotten the past. Have you ever seen a Chef at the main door calling out for customers to come and eat. You have to be there to feel this experience. We ordered Lump rice, which was cold and not to a standard of a lump rice. Waste of money, which cost us Rs.1000/ per packet x 3 pax. Never ever recommend or visit this place again.
