Back Door Donuts - Oak Bluffs

I had heard the hype behind these donuts and since I was attending a Sox game I figured I'd give this place a shot afterwards. We preordered a few different ones to try for pickup. Upon arrival, we noticed a long line. Fortunately the preorder got us to the front and we got our donuts right away. Unfortunately, they were one of the worst donuts I've had as of recent. They were stale and lacked flavor. I ended up throwing them out. Maybe they had a bad day or these were sitting around for an extended period of time but I will not returning to find out since Boston has a number of better options.

Located in Oak Bluffs, MA, Backdoor Donuts offers solid donut choices. All their donuts are tasty, but the Apple Fritter stands out. It's made with fresh apples and is big, roughly the size of two to three regular donuts. A unique feature of this place is buying donuts from the back of the restaurant at night, which adds a different touch to the experience. Nice little store with a small section of donuts,fritters and coffee. The Apple fritters are worth the hype,it was huge and tasted heavenly. Also had Boston creme donut and it was good. Service was quick and the all the people working wore masks and gloves. Definitely stop here for the Apple fritters.
