You could make the exact same dishes at home and they would taste a hundred times better, plus you'd save money and know it's clean and freshly prepared. Here, you don't know what happens in the kitchen. The staff acts like the restaurant is their living room, lounging around while the place is a mess and smells musty. I know Tamayo has other locations, and I hope they close down too! The quality and taste of the food were terrible, the prices were outrageous, and the staff made the experience even worse. I'm genuinely relieved this place is closed—it's a true blessing! I feel so fortunate to have learned my lesson from going to Tamayo. I'll never forget the smell of mothballs when you walk in or the taste of that dry, rotten chicken. And the sight of that girl sneezing in her hands and just going about her business? Disgraceful! Shame on you, Tamayo, and good riddance! :D
The food was decent, but unfortunately, they will be closing down next week.
This is hands down the worst pho restaurant I’ve ever visited. The soup tastes like beef-flavored instant noodles—honestly, you’d be better off making it at home for just fifty cents instead of shelling out sixteen dollars for a large bowl of disappointment. The spring roll was equally terrible, overpriced, and just plain awful. I heard they’re going out of business, and I sincerely hope no one else falls victim to this dreadful food. Oh, and my spring roll even smelled like bubble gum…
What an incredible restaurant! I was craving their dessert in the early morning, and they kindly made it for me. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. The coffee is delightful as well. I’m a very happy customer, and the customer service is outstanding!
Overall, this is a decent place to grab lunch, and it seems great for takeout as well since it's located near downtown. We were looking for a spot for a midday meal and thought some warm pho would be just the thing. The pho was quite tasty and served in generous portions, the spring rolls were fresh, and the staff were friendly. While the atmosphere could be improved, the nostalgic mix of Rod Stewart, Elton John, and the Bee Gees somehow made the experience feel reminiscent of our childhood. Considering the options in the area, I would say this is likely one of the best choices.
