Clancy's Pizza Pub - Oak Lawn

This is a great place for our family to gather together after any type of affair!

I thought I'd give her pizza a chance because her rubies are fantastic. The pizza was expected sooner, but somehow was still moderately cold. Not to mention that the order was completely wrong. I ordered a super pizza with half cheese for children and half perfume and sausage for adults. The girl even repeated it to me and was super friendly on the phone. It would have been pleasant if the order was correct and I could reheat the pizza for the children. I should have attached Phil.

First I want to applaud that obviously being an Irish Pub, that they actually have several Irish beers on tap and a good complement of Irish whiskey! Nothing drives me nuts as much as being in the say Blarney Stone and only having regular Jameson and only Guinness to choose from with no other variety if you want to come off as an Irish pub, you need to deserve being called that and carry several Irish beers and whiskeys! Very few Irish pubs serve Smithwick 's on tap as well as the usual Guinness as Clancy 's does and they also have almost the complete line of Jameson 's to choose from as well as other Irish brands too! I guess the one bad thing here is only having one waitress to serve the whole place and she was really slammed trying to take care of everybody and so we gave her some slack for taking a long time to take our orders. Seeing the many patrons there, I can 't believe they can 't afford to hire a couple more bartenders! Reading the reviews, they are losing a lot of business from having really poor service! Now on to the best part: the food is really really good! Who would think you can get a delicious steak dinner with mushrooms, mash potatoes and gravy with carrots just like a fancy steakhouse restaurant?!!! The steak was as good quality as any I 've ever had in my life and I really couldn 't believe I was getting this high quality food in a small strip mall bar!!! But my buddy who is from the area, knew this and told me that everything on the menu is delicious and they actually made him a corn beef and cabbage pizza one time that was off the hook!!! I tried some of his sausage and mushroom pizza and that was good too! It is a real shame they don 't hire a couple more bartenders to help take orders for better service but then the people would be waiting in line outside and have to take a number to get in! So far I think this is my favorite Irish Pub except for having to watch the poor bartenders being so severely overworked as they have to be under a lot of stress listening to unhappy patrons! I will wait for them to hire more bar and kitchen staff and will discontinue my patronage if not!

The place was freezing cold and needed a jacket on while we ate. I ordered the crispy fish sandwich which was good although they could give bigger amounts of Cole slaw. It was a tiny paper ketchup cup full of Cole slaw for my side and fries. Don't go there if you're truly hungry with small portions like this. It's over priced and the staff isn't friendly, the people are kinda snobby and I really got the feeling the people working there as well as the other customers were snickering behind my back.

Amazing food and the service is great! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and live music often. A must visit if you're in the neighborhood.Food: 5/5
