Dean's And Bakery - Oak Ridge

When Dean's first opened, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and menu. However, after a few years, the menu has become quite stale. It really needs an update with new options. The green beans have an odd taste, the dressing is disappointing, and the salads are nothing special. They've been serving the same fried fish for too long, and the so-called country-fried steak doesn't meet the mark—Dean's needs to learn what real country-fried steak is. The pastries are lovely, and I often order the Coconut Pie, but it always arrives straight from the freezer, making it so cold that it confuses the flavor. While the service is good and I plan to return, I would really like to see an updated menu.
