The waitress was aware but did not offer any alternative options. So I definitely wouldn’t necessarily come back for the food again as it is quite pricey and you still end up paying for it even if it doesn’t agree with you.
Went for brunch and was disappointed in the food I recieved. I got the chicken and waffles. It came with 2 small pieces of chicken that I found pretty dry and the honey sauce that came with was very spicy. The waffles were also kinda plain and I had to ask for some syrup. Definitely not worth $20. The service was good but the atmosphere was pretty loud. We sat inside on the main floor and right beside the door opening which wasn't ideal.
Service was exceptional! Food was absolutely terrible! Pineridge is an experience people come for. For weddings, the environment, shops, birds hill park. It’s all a beautiful area! However, if this was a restaurant only and in the city, no one would go. It’s all mediocre and expensive. I call it mediocre because of the way they cook their food. It’s always overdone, or something is just off texture wise, for example too greasy or tough, or soggy etc..
We always like coming out here for a drive and to get out of the city! It's a charming place where unfortunately the food never matches the atmosphere.I had the chicken and waffles where the chicken was dry but the coating was light and crispy (reminded me of boxed shake n' bake though). My wife always gets the pancakes with lemon ricotta on top. She missed the caramelized apples that used to come with it and overall was presented more poorly than it was previously while the price stayed the same (I'd rather the cost go up and quality stay the same). The kids menu was quite limited so my daughters also shared the same pancake mentioned above. The closeup to animals with the kids is always a hit and we enjoyed walking around the market village for the first time.
The atmosphere is lovely. We spent some time outside, looking around and visiting the animals before dinner. we had a group of four people in our party. None of us really enjoyed our meals very much one of us had fish tacos and described the fish as not tasting like fish. Another had the pork chop dinner and found the vegetables to be unidentifiable. He said they tasted somewhat like what he thought socks would taste like, apparently they were turnips. My dinner was the pasta dinner, which came absolutely swimming in pesto sauce, and butter and very few noodles. I was able to eat it, but found it to be almost sickening. The only good meal was the hamburger. We encouraged the host of our party to complain but he didn’t want to.He gave a bad review in an email when they asked how it was the next day. We won’t go back for supper there again. Breakfast is better.
