Red Lobster - Oakhurst

I don't frequent this chain often but it's close to me and I haven't been here in 6 years so why not. Most of their prices have gone up quite a bit for a chain of this caliber, Yet the quality of food seems to be above average yet not great. The old adage you get what you pay for is very applicable here. A four course meal for $16.99 is passable just so you are sated and your belly stops growling. Meanwhile, Jennie has worked at this location for some 38 years and that is not a miss-print. She might have an unofficial record of length of employment at one particular venue in the service industry. Having dined out a lot, this is almost unheard of. What loyalty ! Lobster Bisque- too salty Cheddar cheese biscuits excellent Garden Salad ok Grilled Shrimp w/Brussel Sprouts, linguine ok Dessert ok Definition of OK: not great, but very edible RL has a reward program of which I will reject.

We had an event planned for this location red lobster. They decided to paint the high chairs in the room we had the event scheduled in the night prior to the event. We walked in a few hours earlier than the event with the idea the room would be cleared for us to set up and not smelling like fumes from the paint used! Not a single window was allowed to be opened. Not only did we have to move it all with no help but they had the nerve to ask us to break the whole room down and bring back in all the stuff we had taken out with no help in the morning. Not only were they rude to us with the lack of respect for a pregnant girls event but I heard the staff talking about being caught with large amounts of drugs on the premises. I wouldn't take my family there so I hope you won't take yours!

So went for all you can eat /Shrimps and was good..the scampi was the best i asked for having it without wine. the coconut shrimp was ok but too heavy..the grilled one was good too while the friend wasnt impressive.. the staff was very welcoming

Thanks you longtime server there Tina for a fabulous time at lunch here. You can tell she loves her job and people in general. She reminded me it was my birthday, after I hadn't picked a dessert. Then she said Red Lobster will give me a birthday small sundae. My friend was so pleased with their 3 for deal. I enjoyed the weekday lunch deal. You can also earn rewards here and try other deals, but Tina and crew are who really shine! I wish I could post the video of them singing. It's like they look forward to birthdays! Also Tina said the biscuits also can come without the usual melted butter, which I enjoyed too. Thanks and we will be back, with more friends!
