Fat Freddy's Sub Shop - Oakland Park

I just ordered a turkey club sub. It wasn't very good. The meat was served warm, which was unexpected, made the salach glue skin. The tomatoes were cut instead of thin - also unexpected. I'm insecure when I even got turkey. It looked like ham. The role was the best part. I don't think I'm going back.

Karen Don Designer was right next door! I have my family here during the visit and this place is exactly the same as years ago, great service, fantastic food, it is a never failing type of space! I'm glad my daughter was sitting on the picture right where I was when I was her age!

We've been here for a few years. I was worried when the property changed, but with open mind. The preparation is different, but the food is still very good. Some people just don't accept change. Gianna and Nicholas are kind and do a great job. I'm glad to be here every Friday.

I have eaten here for almost 18 years, this use to be my favorite sub shop. I would argue tooth and nail that these subs were better than Laspadas but now I have no leg to stand on. Since the ownership has changed it is horrible and I will never come back. Why would you cook the chicken till its crumbled and hard as a rock and serve it like that? Ive gone twice since ownership changed thinking it was a mistake but I was wrong. This is just how they are doing things now. I wish they would have kept it the way it was, why change something that works? What a shame.

Since the ownership change, both the quantity and quality of the cold subs have significantly declined. I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and it was always exceptional, but that’s no longer the case. I don't understand why someone would purchase a successful restaurant only to immediately diminish its quality. It's truly disappointing. I've tried them twice since the transition, and both times I left feeling dissatisfied. My friends have expressed the same sentiments. We will not be returning, and I’m sure many others will feel the same way. For the same price, I can easily go to LaSpadas or LouieKs.
