Chipotle Mexican Grill - Oakland

This restaurant has a fantastic, spacious, and clean environment. I really enjoy transferring my burrito bowl into a separate bowl before digging in.

I visited this restaurant on March 22, 2020, for lunch while California was under a shelter-in-place order. I ordered a carnitas burrito filled with pinto beans, rice, cheese, and salsa. Everything was absolutely delicious. A big thank you to the staff for their hard work in providing such tasty food during these challenging times.

This review isn't focused on comparing the quality of food to traditional Mexican restaurants. Everyone knows that Chipotle's offerings don't match the authentic flavors and recipes of family-owned Mexican eateries, so we come here with that understanding. What truly stands out is the customer service and the staff, who are some of the most wonderful people you'll encounter. Even though there’s always a lot on their plate and plenty to keep up with, they handle everything remarkably well and provide exceptional service.

The food is great, as you would expect from Chipotle. This particular location maintains the high standards you’d anticipate, with good service and a pleasant atmosphere. If you've ever had Chipotle, you're already familiar with its quality; if you haven't, you really need to try it—you'll wonder why you waited so long. Their new steak is especially delicious!

Ordered delivery. Delivery guy was named Donald. We stood outside of the apartment 10 minutes before expected delivery (and could see on map that he had not arrived). We walked around tried calling the number listed to contact him. Could not find himand no answer on the phone. My phone number was listed and he did not call us. Seems like he took a picture of our food andthen took it for himself. Ridiculous.
