Genghix Next - Oakland

My husband is Singaporean, and he was the first to try this restaurant through takeout. Today, I finally had the curry chicken with rice and sambal, and it was absolutely fantastic! The flavors authentically represent Singaporean street food curry! Every dish we’ve tried from here has been amazing, and we are incredibly grateful for this place. There’s really not much Malay or Singaporean food done this well in the Bay Area. Thank you, Genghis Next!

The best Nasi Lemak in the Bay Area! This place serves truly authentic Malaysian cuisine.

We absolutely love the authentic Malaysian cuisine at this restaurant. The flavors here remind us of the Malaysian dishes we’ve enjoyed in Johor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. I highly recommend the Nasi Lemak with turmeric chicken, as well as the chicken curry. We haven’t had a chance to try their Laksa yet, but we plan to return soon to sample more of their offerings. One downside is that the location and parking aren't great; it's situated in the warehouse district of Oakland. We discovered this place through a YouTube review by the Kumaar family, who mentioned it as one of the top spots for Nasi Lemak in the Bay Area, which contributed to its high rating.

I've been missing home since I've not been able to go home during the Covid-19 pandemic. But when I miss home, I just need to order Genghix Next's food to curb my homesickness. The chef Desmond is just a class above all the other Malaysian Singaporean restaurants in the Bay Area. Oh, and he just recently won the BEST NASI LEMAK in the Bay Area on a YouTube food review. I'm so excited for the chef!

If you are looking for Malaysian food, here is the place that you must not miss. In the Bay Area, their food is super close to Malaysian authenticity. We all love their nasi lemak, satay chicken, Seremban Hakka Noodles Rojak. Actually, we have ordered multiple times. They have a decent food portion, good quality and the price very reasonable. You can order Ubereats which can be delivered to your home. Or pick up from the Ghost kitchen in Oakland. If they have a restaurant dine-in, I would definitely come visit.
