Kakui - Oakland

Great first experience. the squid was our favorite. service was very good. we're coming back!

As usual, excellent eating, good service and a great meal all around. this time we had some salmon-sashimi that was delicious.fresh and a nice amount to share, along with kakui rolls, French rolls and a simple tempoura california roll. that, together with a beer and a carafe of the house saki made for great food. we had dessert this time what we rarely do....a beautiful small half-cook with cocooseis and a hollowed pfirsich with pfirsicheis. make the meal nice.

We have often eaten at kakui and we have never been disappointed by a single item we have ordered. from the simplest piece sashimi, artistically placed on a plate, to the delicious nitriri, the many sushi reels, to the larger entrees and the very nice Saki selections, we have delighted each time. I recommend kakui to all my friends and well-known.

I love the personal service at this restaurant and the flavors of the various dishes are unique

The service is poor. The restaurant has gone to lots of take out orders so customers who have reserved tables receive slow and poor service. This restaurant has gone way downhill since it opened.
