Ok's Deli - Oakland

Really wanted to love this. Have been twice but the sandwiches are so salty and just feel like they have one too many ingredients. Call me a sandwich purist but this just didnt hit my sandwich craving.

10/10 sandwiches, never had a miss. A bit pricier than standard delis but everything is made in house and is top quality, especially the bread. They have delicious vegan options, and I’ve heard two friends say the Sichuan hot chicken is the best fried chicken sandwich they’ve had in the Bay. I do think this place might be too “fancy” for some — mainly because of the price point starting around $15, but also their policy of no substitutions and only making accommodations for allergies. I love that though, there should be no need to switch things out when everything is perfectly crafted. Trust the kitchen, the staff work like a well oiled machine and they know what they’re doing!!

I got the turkey sandwich to go. Ended up being a bit over $20 after tax and tip. Sandwich was good but not anything special enough to justify the price
