Sparky's Restaurant - Oakland

Wow, what a surprise. Normally I would visit Barney's across the street, but my friends and I figured we'd try something new. So we came into Sparky's and wow, the burgers here are really good! Barney's is more of a fancy burger which you expect to be good, and Sparkey's is more of a backyard bbq 4th of July Burger done by professionals. Both good in their own respects, so you can't go wrong either way. But if it were between the two, I would choose Sparkey's, because when I think of a burger and how it should taste, this is it.

Great fresh food, and great prices! fried zuchinni and mushrooms are awesome! Everything is farm fresh, from the veggies to the beef used for the burgers. Vegetarian friendly as well!

Their food and service has declined a bit since they first opened. Still a decent burger. Great outdoor patio that is shaded.

Good solid burgers not overwhelming with too many choices like Barney's, just the right things done right. Good large shakes as well.

BBQ bacon burger was amazing! A real good quality burger. Servicers were also genuinely nice.
