We came for dinner with our kids and found a table right at the entrance. Service was not very friendly and made us not feel welcome right from the beginning. Food such as chicken and fish was ok but also not a highlight - altogether not a nice experience with bored service personnel, lacking atmosphere and overpriced food.

Since our last time, we went here again last month as we had an afternoon without the kids. We went here on a warm day during a busy lunch time. Unfortunately their house speciality, Mistrkratzerli, wasn't on the lunch menu???So we ordered off the menu. We were told in advance that the mistkratzerli would take 40 minutes and that's the reason why it's not on the lunch menu. We told them it's ok and we would wait. We were sitting outside as it was really warm and other people were smoking around us, this is quite an annoyance, especially when you are eating. Inside they have a separate smoking area, they should do this outside as well. The food came as promised after a 40 minute wait. The chicken was a bit poor in meat and overall not as good as the first time. My wife's liver was also a disappointment. In general the value for money was poor. Waiting 40 minutes and paying Chf 35 for that chicken wasn't worth it. The service was attentive and friendly, despite the hot weather and many customers, but nonetheless I will not opt for this restaurant soon again. There's a pasta/pizzeria in the same village which offers a much better value for money, especially their pizza's.

One can think that 6 chicken wings is very little and that the service is cold. But!6 crispy chicken wings with a homemade sauce served with fresh fries is way enough and tasty!!And the service is shy, not cold!An overall nice experience :)

We come often to this restaurant and often find the service beyond slow and not especially friendly. However a recent visit with family was by far a better experience rather than the dour faced waiter we had a lovely young waitress. Super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I love the veal cordon bleu here and the veal schnitzel is also good. Kids portion is rather on the large side but decent enough. If you have room for dessert go for the Black Forest cake. Enormous slice and delicious!
