Horse Hounds - Ocala

The prime rib was AWESOME !! So delicious!! Definitely we are going back !!

First time dining with horse and hound. Unfortunately we won’t come back!! We were really excited to try this out only to discover they are missing it in the food scene. Ordered the mussels so salty could hardly eat the broth, the salmon tasted like it was microwaved and pure syrup poured over the top and the prime rib so tough ineditable!! The side of vegetable’s were disgustingly over cooked. One suggestion chef and not cook!!

We went here for lunch yesterday afternoon.All of the staff are nice. The food is excellent. We got The mussels for an appetizer I got The Irish Stew and my wife got the Shepards Pie. We will go back again.

We went on a Sunday and had no problems getting a table and our first visit back since COVID. Understaffed, but staff worked great as a team and had an excellent experience and lunch.

First time going. Food was very good! Sorry we forgot pics of the entrée dishes. But my wife got the black and blu salad the steak in it was very good. I got the beer cheese burger. Asked for medium which is how is came. They ran out of onion straws for it so they put onion rings instead which was cool by me! The pretzel was good the mustard and beer cheese was good. I don't know if it's made it house or not but the berry cake is very good! Don't care if it was made there or not I'll get it again lol. Not sure if he was the manager or head chef etc but he made sure to check on EVERYONE once they had a few bites which is a good sign! He was kind,straight to the point,and gone which is another good sign. Didn't see him have any issues. We will be back! Vegetarian options: There are appetizers that are obviously vegetarian. I am not vegetarian. Well was for a short time so didn't pay super close attention entrée wise other than they did have a black bean burger.
