Marcelina's Italian - Ocala

Nicely decorated, reminds me some traditional restaurants I visited in Rome a couple of years ago. The food is really good. I had an eggplant rollatini and it was delicious. Next time I'll try something different and will post here ?

Real authentic Italian comfort food made from scratch !Not a franchise.Artichoke appetizer is excellent. Large entree portions are served, so you will probably get a 2nd meal to eat with your take home leftovers ! Ask and they will make your meal vegetarian ! Homemade teramasu... made by Bob ! Great Chianti red wine served with dinner !We shall return ! ! !

Not a huge deal, but requested butter and didn't receive it. Very clean, calming, lower light ambiance.Had spaghetti, requested extra marinara, but there still was not very much marinara.

It has been a few years since we dined here due to our initial bad experience. Unfortunately, it has not improved very much.I had the Caprese, Fagioli and Marcelina Combo. The Caprese was very good. The Fagioli was just hot enough however far too salty for my taste. The Combo was just warm but the taste was good.Then there was the service. We had to ask for everything. Our soups were served before we were even 1/2 way done with the Caprese and the main course was delivered before we were done with the soup. With large dishes and small tables there was not enough flat surface available to place the dishes on the table. There is NO EXCUSE for rushing food delivery when it was just after 2pm and there were only 3 tables occupied. I see no need for a 3rd visit here.

What a great little hiddden gem!! The service was amazing, food was soooo good we went there to have a birthday dinner for my dad and hubby!!! We will be back!!!
