Írjon visszajelzéstThe new front deck at Ocean Shores Country Club is the ideal spot to savor a meal from Coast Restaurant. You can watch the passing whales while relishing a tasty meal or snack and a beverage. The staff is welcoming, the food is superb with a wide selection from snacks to full meals. Additionally, they offer a 2 for 1 lunch deal if you present your local shopper dockets!
What a shame !!We want to come very often as we live nearby but The menu is very limited....The steak are sometimes very good cooked to perfection (I like it rare) and sometimes it's a disaster .Last time we change it It was worst! The medium rare was well done We are not going to complain a second time, are we? The entrees are very limited There is a mix of classics pub food (in the bad way) frozen pub food and a too modern twist of fusion salad Make it simple please and fresh. There are some special but quantity wise it's too small A plate of pasta Is too modern Give a bit more please (pasta are not expensive!!) there is definitely a lack of generosity And the chef seems to have a very nice team (fantastic waitress and nice fellows around him) but he needs to be happy and share the love !!!Food is love and not only making money. When a customer is not happy as we were Don't you think it will be Nice to come Apologise and please you ?( I only respect and understand mistake if the person accept it , we are human being and it can happen) No the chef leaves the bad job to the beautiful staff. Must not be easy to deal with him. ..This place used to have a Greek restaurant and it was fantastic I miss them. I miss a fresh nice Sole (fish) fresh and gorgeous .I hope that the menu and personality will improve as for now We are never super exciting to come back. And I promise you we could come Few times per week.
We had dinner here accidentally as our first choice was closed for the evening.Being a golf/bowls club, you notice the smell of stale beer embedded into the carpet as soon as you walk through the doors. However as well as an airconditioned inside eating area, then was both smoking and non-smoking outside areas whihc we opted for as it was a lovely summer night.Everyone went for the seafood inspite of a number of steak and lamb choices, with flathead and chips and a tempura squid dish, all served with chips and salad. The fish and chips were average, it looked like a frozen fillet but was well cooked enough although the batter was not very crispy.Same for the squid which definitely looked under done even to the point of looking anaemic. However everything tasted ok, and both the meal and bar prices were reasonable with decent selection options.Being a public holiday it was VERY quiet and the servers were attentive, warning us of a pricing surcharge, and letting us know about the kitchen closing as well as making sure we had everything we needed. So not many complaints but not too many gold stars, they were all in the skyline that we looked at while we dined.
Yes not bad. Think that new operators just taken over kitchen in Oct 2015. We had three meals which were pretty good. It's a nice relaxing bowls/golf club. Good to have such good views. Next visit will try evening dinner as have heard their pizzas are good but not on at lunch, only evenings.
The restaurant focused on pan Asian cuisine. We decided to try the jungle curry with duck leg. There were only three tables inside and four on the back deck. Unfortunately, we waited around 45 minutes for our meal and had to ask about it twice. When it finally arrived, we discovered that the rice was uncooked. The staff reassured us that they would have it ready soon, but the curry was already getting cold. I am not sure who was in charge of the kitchen, but as someone who works in hospitality, I would be asking some serious questions if this happened in my kitchen. As a resident of Ocean Shores, I am concerned if this is the standard of service we can expect. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
