State Side Deli - Okemos

This is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. My wife and I have visited several times. She appreciates the variety of vegan options available, including an Impossible Burger and a vegan wrap while we're writing this. The staff has consistently been friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has always been clean during our visits.

We visited this restaurant twice last month and absolutely loved it. My first visit was prompted by a recommendation to try the Impossible Burger, but I quickly discovered they also offer a Vegan Reuben, which I had to sample first. It was fantastic—the bread was perfectly toasted, and everything was just right. On my next visit, I tried the Impossible Burger, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were incredibly welcoming and patient, creating an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to return—not just for the food, but for the overall experience. And the carrot cake? It barely lasted a minute on the table, LOL! It was moist, light, and delicious. Overall, definitely check this place out for great food served promptly by genuinely caring people.

The Convict was a fantastic experience for my wife and me. Everything has always been excellent, and the owner is extremely friendly. Be sure to try the Baklava before you go—you won't regret it!

Quick, affordable and well prepared. Fish and club sandwiches were great. Service was also good!
