The Purple Carrot - Okemos

It was an amazing experience. I recommend a visit. It has an open kitchen and everyone works well together. The dishes were all cooked for perfection.

Service was great, food was wonderful! Tyler was very helpful with the menu and answered all our questions. Definitely worth the trip!

Wow, what a hidden gem!! I'm so very glad that Hank Shaw had an event here so we could experience a true culinary farm to table 5 star restaurant!!! Incredible staff, ambience and the food... to die for!!! Best restaurant experience I've had in years!!!! Thank you!!!

It was my first time going to Red Haven Farm the other day and the waiter was wonderful and one of the starter dishes was delicious. I forget the name but it has portebello mushrooms in it. I usually dislike mushrooms but this was great. I was disappointed though by the shrimp burger. It was too salty and too fishy tasting. The french fries that came with it were so so, I've had better but I've also had worse. I appreciated the house made ketchup which had a very natural taste. I don't know if I'll go back again because of the shrimp burger but possibly other dishes are better.

The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. Most plates are meant to share. Service was great. Wonderful farm-to-table resturant. Definitely plan to return!
