Nic's Diner Lounge - Oklahoma City

If you're willing to wait an hour for a mediocre burger when there are only four other patrons in the entire restaurant, then by all means, visit Nic's. Personally, I'd recommend heading across the street to the Garage instead. I won’t be returning. They should either post a sign indicating a minimum 40-minute wait for service or serve the food as it's prepared, since it seems the cooks struggle to manage more than one order at a time. By the time the fries were ready, my burger had already gone cold. Absolutely ridiculous.

We’ve been hoping to visit the grill location but have never managed to get there on time. Today, we decided to try Nic's place instead. You might be tempted to skip it after reading some comments, but don’t! Definitely stop by for lunch. Just be aware that it does take time to get seated and to receive your meal. Sabrina was our server, the only one working upstairs, and once we were seated, things really picked up. The burgers were among the best I’ve ever had—juicy and cooked exactly to my liking. I prefer mine well done, so I anticipated a 15-minute wait for my meal. The fries were piping hot and freshly made. The only downside was the parking situation; however, we were lucky enough to find a spot in their lot, which has only about six spaces. We arrived at 1:30, and it might just be the perfect time to enjoy this fantastic restaurant.

We had a server who was juggling too much—managing 8-9 tables and seating guests. I wouldn't be surprised if she had to prepare the food herself! Our burgers took 45 minutes to arrive, and I’m not exaggerating. This delay was not her fault, but I expected a better experience. This wasn’t our first visit, but it was definitely the slowest one we've had. Other customers were visibly frustrated as well. It's not unreasonable to expect better service, especially during lunch hours. While the food was good, it wasn't extraordinary enough to justify the long wait. Management or ownership, it's time to step up!

Delicious burger and beer fries. Also great espresso martinis. Service was a tad slow because there was only one bartender for half the night. Live jazz every now and then. Sat in the lounge and thought the atmosphere was perfect for date night or casual drinks in a dimly lit environment. Really like the speak easy vibe. Would return again!

I love this place. My favorite grab a drink and bite to eat. Adult night.
