Hot Pot Hero Ellicott City

There are so many hotpot restaurants in the DMV area, it can be difficult to choose when comes to which one is good and where to go. For us, there are certain criteria we look for when come to a hot pot restaurant. And here is why hot pot hero is one of our favorites.Meat: the most important. Beef and Lamb mainly. Thin, fresh, flavorful in a way you can eat it right after cook it even without any dipping sauce.Seafood: fresh, with decent variety.Veggies and others : they have to have the signature vegetables, mushrooms, variety of fish, and meatballs, corn, taro, quilt eggs, tribe, etc.Service: they don’t need to be super attentive in a hotpot restaurant, because most the time when people go to a hot pot restaurant, they want to communicate and have a good time with the people they went with. It’s completely different than if you go to a steakhouse. So the best is to leave these customers alone and only comes around when they need something.Cleanliness: eating hot pot can be messy, with sauce drizzled all over the table and seats, splatters come from the pots. Therefore a thorough cleaning after each customer is essential to keep a hot pot restaurant clean so the next customer can enjoy.And hotpot hero does meet these criteria which was confirmed after our several visits .Keep up the good work, highly recommend by @winedinenvacay

Try coming here once with your friends and family, because everyone's taste is different, but for me and my friends, it's delicious.

I love this food. Went here for a Chinese field trip, 1 1/2 hr all you can eat. So sooo good! Jesus loves you!

Very disappointed with our recent visit to Hot Pot Hero Ellicott City. Our server, a woman in her 40s-50s with short hair, was noticeably rude and unprofessional, displaying a cheerful demeanor only towards certain diners. Despite our usual satisfaction with the food, the poor service on April 25th around 7 PM completely ruined our experience. After a $119 meal, our small tip reflected our dissatisfaction, yet the server had the audacity to confront us about it as we were leaving and ask for tipping more rudely. Such behavior is unacceptable and should be addressed.

This was my second Hot Pot Hero location I visited, the other was in Gaithersburg MD. The other one seemed to have more options to add to the all you can eat menu, and the other one the service was a bit more attentive when placing an order for refills, but this was still a stellar experience and I would do it once a week if I lived in the area.
