Tequila Frogs Local Cantina

We went here last year and we liked it so much we decided to come back. Unfortunately, this time the food was bland and overpriced. For smoking their own food outside I expected at least a smoky flavor. We got the nachos with the pork and when it came out, the pork was 2 inch cubes of pork belly. It was so rubbery and fatty, we didn't eat it and asked for a side of chicken instead. Assuming it was my fault for misunderstanding the menu, we didn't mention our displeasure to the waitress. The chicken was very moist, but flavorless. The server was nice, but didn't pick-up on our subtle displeasure in our food. The drinks were only 12oz cups of soda. Each one cost us over $3 and we were never offered refills.

The bartender last night was not very friendly and seemed like we were a bother. My drink was cute but not that good. The waitress was nice but definitely seemed very new to waitressing. My food was not that good but the queso was. Fun atmosphere but other than that, I?d keep walking.

Great food, went with my family and two young children. The Brisket Sandwich was full of taste and seasoned well, I liked the picky onions. My wife got the pulled pig and enjoyed a side of Fritten. The two margaritas were wonderful. For those who complain about prices, the food prices on the menu are not as they hide it. In general, smoked meat is a labor-intensive process and therefore the price will usually be higher.

I have mixed feelings The waitresses were really nice and great and the food was pretty good not great but not that bad. But it was to expensive for what it was and the restaurant looked kinda cheap for the price of the meal. It was about 24$ for a sandwich witch I didn?t even no was gonna be a sandwich I got barbecue chicken and my sisters was also put on a sandwich that she didn?t know was gonna be a sandwich. The water also tasted really weird like it just didn?t taste right.

When we rolled up, we were excited to see the smoker which gave us a good idea what we were in for. We had the family combo with four sides. We especially loved the spare ribs and the chicken, but the very best thing was the wonderful service! Our service was perfectly timed and attentive at all times! Drink service was very quick too. We were so impressed, we can?t wait to come back with our friends!! Great tourist spot but as locals, we?re delighted to know great food and service is close by ????
