Liv's Oyster Shack - Old Saybrook

Do not eat here if you are interested in a lobster roll. There were perhaps two medium solid pieces and some shredded lobster. The liquid poured on the roll (not sure if it was butter) was so dense that it separated the bottom of the roll from the sides, They are stealing your money here and this is a giant rip off. Quick and easy site but a restaurant embarassment!!!!!!

$50 for a 1/2 lobster in a hot dog bun Bun was soggy nasty For $50 at least give a side salad or something...Jesus . This was such a huge disappointment for $50! Just go to Red Lobster you'll have a better meal there.

No frills just good seafood. Outdoor seating. You order and they bring it to you. Disappointed with the view, thought it was closer to the water. View of parking lot with marina off in the distance.

Best lobster roll I've ever had with the special butter. The hotdog almost reminded me of the old days at savin rock in West Haven absolutely tremendous.

Such a charming, cute little place! Liv's is located by a marina in Old Saybrook and the views and atmosphere are simply gorgeous! We stopped by for a quick bite and to enjoy the area a bit. It was a gorgeous day for dining al fresco. It was a Saturday mid afternoon and we were able to get a small table and sit in their cute courtyard area. It's byob so we grabbed beverages at a local liquor store to have with our meal. We ordered grilled mahi-mahi fish tacos... they were delicious! The grilled fish was a nice change up from the usual fried fish. Great flavors with a kick and a tangy slaw to go with it. Although we didn't order much, we enjoyed Liv's and have already recommended it to others and we will definitely return
