Sardi's Taphouse - Olney

This was our first visit to the restaurant as a family, and we had a group of eight. We decided to go with the family style dining. The Ceviche appetizer was delightful. We also ordered the family meal and a meat platter, which was perfect for our group size. There was more than enough food for everyone, with some leftovers to take home. Our server, Jackson, was extremely attentive and charming. Everything we had was delicious!

When I checked my bag, I realized something was wrong and brought it to her attention. She responded in an annoyed tone, asking, “Well, what other side do you want?” I thought that was the point of placing an order? Then she proceeded to open my container and dish out the sides in the serving area, where they serve other customers. It was truly unappetizing! There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. When I got home, I found that the sandwiches didn’t come with the house-made chips they should have, and the pit beef sandwich wasn’t prepared correctly. This is the third time I’ve had issues with my orders in recent months, and it feels like they really don’t care at all.

**04-01-2022** I have not returned to this restaurant to see if they have improved their chicken; in fact, it has only gotten worse. I was also disappointed by the manager's response when I left a negative review. She suggested I tell them what was wrong, but I had already done so before posting my review. Consequently, I have decided not to come back. They have hired new staff since last year, and the customer service has declined significantly. My chicken used to arrive with dark, unpleasant spots, and the fried potatoes were either cold or overcooked and never tasty. I want to clarify that I am not someone who leaves negative reviews for no reason; I rated this restaurant with five stars when I first started going there. I feel it's important to inform others with reviews like this one so they know what to expect before visiting, unlike the manager who seems to want to hide the reality. **12-18-2021** As a frequent customer who visits almost five days a week for lunch, I’ve noticed a decline in quality. My last couple of chicken orders have been disappointing. I used to be a fan of their Sardi's Chicken, but I can't keep coming here if they continue to serve damaged chicken. Additionally, the fries have been undercooked, cold, or hard, which is unacceptable. I don’t want to come off as harsh, but the two young cashiers have been quite rude, and their customer service is lacking. **August 2021** Initially, I want to highlight that the customer service here was excellent—from the servers to the supervisor and manager. They were prompt and friendly. The food is outstanding, and they have a bar, a restaurant, and a quick-service area, which is fantastic. While the prices are slightly higher, the quality of the food makes it worth it. This is a family-friendly restaurant, and there's plenty of room to dine at the bar as well. I highly recommend this place for the best Peruvian chicken in the area, and I was a frequent visitor. Thank you!

My first time in Sardis Taphouse and I have to say I had a great meal. The portions are in place and the flavors were perfect. I had a really pleasant meal.

There was a confusion with my initial order but they quickly and politely fixed everything without any issues. There is room for improvement with the portion sizes. But overall, the customer service was great in my experience. Food tastes amazing! Would definitely recommend this Sardis!
