I fell in love with this restaurant when I took my mother there for my birthday, but it wasn't too busy this night, the manager was very nice to my mother by offering her a drink and dessert for her celebration. But it is handicap and the city has not allowed parking in this area for the companies and the apartments. We could not find anywhere near the park and there are no disabled parking spaces. Our only choice was to pay for the parking service at Marriott and that's $20.00 plus tip. At night, the manager paid for the fights we had to find a place. We have eaten there for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it seems that the place has grown in popularity, so it is more busy and the ambience has changed and not for the better. Thanksgiving was good and we really enjoyed the meal and the service... Christmas was okay, but it just didn't feel so funny and we felt really rushed to eat and go. Again parking is a HUGE problem, unless you have nothing to pay extra or really run far in the cold. We went back to the end of the year and now for our birthday. Both times my steak was not properly cooked or we had other service problems. At the prices they calculate it is not acceptable to be so unhappy with food or waiting staff.... it seems more about the big parties or tables that bring the bigger tips and tabs, instead of being friendly and offering a good service for all, we were coming this last time with our food as we ate our first course, I had not even got to eat half my soup before my entrés. They wanted to take away my soup, but I still have a lot of crab meat. You didn't do that to other tables... in the end, the manager asked why we didn't tell them to take our food back to sit under warming lights... how about your staff better timing? It's not my job to have my food for the courses time.... we left the feeling rather down and had a long walk to the car

Service was not top-notch, as I have had better service at J. Gilberts in the past. Not impressed with the J. Gilberts app. I've tried unsuccessfully to add my receipts to that app, and it only allow me to do that unless I pay Apple Pay. I would like an opportunity to earn rewards from the amount of times I dine at J. Gilbert's.

Exceptional service and meal. Asked server what she recommended and everything she recommended truly was delicious. Best steak I’ve had in a while, also first time trying a bone in Kansas City strip and wow! Mind blown. Had the prefix meal and I recommend it. Just the salad as an appetizer could be considered a meal on its own. Truly delighted with our experience and our sever Silvia G was top notch! If I lived in the area this would’ve definitely been my go to restaurant for any and all occasions.
