If you're traveling through this airport, it might be wise to eat before you arrive. I came here hoping for a Cinnabon after seeing some half-eaten breakfast sandwiches abandoned by other travelers. After contemplating the various sizes of cinnamon rolls, I opted for the standard roll. While it looked promising, it was a disappointing representation of the brand. The heat lamps kept the icing melted and the roll warm, but they also dried out the outer edges, making them tough to chew. The center, which is usually my favorite part, was undercooked and doughy. The cinnamon filling was syrupy, gooey, and lacked flavor. I hope this experience doesn't turn me off cinnamon rolls for good. Choose wisely!
Under a giant sign that proclaims ALL Food is Made to Order , I watch as the lady pulls my pre-made salad out of a fridge. Awesome! They 're liars. Also they put weird things on their food without indicating this on the menu. If you 're going to put corn and black beans on a salad, maybe call it a Southwestern Cobb ? Instead of Avocado Cobb , which, spoiler alert, is redundant.
Considering the Ontario foodcourt has three, yes THREE options, this one did pretty well. I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and it came out in less than 10 minutes. It was baked on a delicious sourdough bread crust so it was nice and crispy, and the BBQ sauce on it was definitely enough that I had enough for each cheese-chicken-BBQ sauce ratio (that's very important you know! . Two types of cheese-mozzarella on the bottom layer under the chicken, then cheddar on top. The chicken was actually very fresh tasting and really large pieces which surprised me. Also had white and red onions for extra crunch. This pizza technically also came with jalapeños but I asked for it without. Open 5 am to 6 pm.
Airport food courts are usually not great, but Schlotzky's was pretty much the best option here. Service was fine, our sandwiches came out quickly and were pretty tasty. While it is better at their regular locations and it seemed like they didn't offer the full menu, it was still good. They also sell Cinnabon items, but they didn't really look fresh so we passed. Tasty chips and cookies too, portions are pretty small for the price though so if you're hungry I suggest 2 sandwiches.
This restaurant was a disappointing choice. It was the only place open when we arrived at the airport for our 8 PM flight to San Francisco, so we had no option but to eat there since we were hungry. We ordered several cinnamon rolls and some salads. Unfortunately, the cinnamon rolls were not fresh at all. They market themselves as 'Cinnabon,' but they didn't live up to the quality I expect. The rolls were dry, hard, and seemed stale, like they had been sitting out since yesterday. The salad was bland and barely had any dressing. My recommendation is to eat somewhere else before heading to the airport, or simply avoid this food court altogether. It was not a good experience.
