Angel's Diner - Orangeville

Second time to eat in this restaurant and I’m so happy to see here.

The size of the foods are generous.We ordered menu for spaghetti, tacos, omelette and pork.The service was a bit slow, however they are friendly, and the atmosphere was like in 60's or 70's. We noticed the customers mostly were senior.The restaurant was not too crowded, no line-up, however there a big note hanging at the cashier desk for reminder to customers to pay server. Of course we will pay the server if the service is superb.The place is clean. However we noticed there was a fly that flying around our table.Other than that, the overall this restaurant is nice and good to visit.Vegetarian options: Yes, they have saladKid-friendliness: Yes, it is also kid-friendlyParking: Ample free parking spots. Where to begin? This was such a profoundly bad excuse for a restaurant that it surprised me that it remains in operation. First, the flies! Flies, flies, and more flies buzzing around your head and buzzing around your food. The shear volume of them is surprising. There must be numerous things that have been compromised with maggots in the kitchen to generate such a prolific amount of flies landing on you as you eat. This is not hyperbole, this place is clearly a health risk and should be inspected. It is an abnormal amount of flies. If you would like a side of flies with your fries, this is the diner for you. Then there is the fact that the outside of the diner is falling apart. Bricks actually crumbling off of the structure. I am sure at one point the ambience was good with a nice 1960s kind of vibe. As you walk in you see multiple water damaged tiles on the ceiling. It is just a dumpy looking restaurant now. The food was terrible. I had some sauce with my sweet potato fries that tasted like seagull vomit. It is just all around bad. On a positive note the tea that I was served was hot and they have a good sound system. The wait staff was adequate however our server’s uniform was quite dirty and that is very off putting. Angel’s was just a flat out terrible experience for me.

I used to be a regular here with my mother but once the serviced changed it has sucked. The food has always been amazing but we always get this one girl who sits us down, forgets about us, we ask for water MULTIPLE times and she still forgot it. She doesn’t take our order till 35 minuets in which coming from a server this is irresponsible. The food never disappoints but the serves need a better attitude.
