Don's Hot Dogs - Orland Park

The fries were loaded with grease. The Hot Dog was just OK. It didn't taste like an all-beef dog as advertised. It was about $6.70 for fries, drink and Hot Dog. Might as well just go down the street to Portillo's for the best Hot Dogs. Had to at least give it a try since I pass it all the time. The young ladies that work there need to be more friendly and inviting. There was no thank you for coming there or any thank you have a nice day as we left.

It got worse! Hotdogs are disgusting! They are rubbery and I think they are undercooked! NASTY! I only go to Widen's Hotdogs now. Much better food.

Dear Don I sent a very similar love letter to Joey's. Very disappointed that you up charge for credit card use on top of it your crappy credit card machine doesn't do Apple or Samsung pay or touchless pay. Your hot dog is skinless and pretty much tasteless. Kind of like an over cooked mushy ballpark brand dog. The onions were non existent and the tomato was hard and had the stem. Don't give me the stem. The best part of this dog was the relish. Although the mustard was good; albeit there was too much on the dog. Needless to say I won't be back. Also we need to talk about sanitation.

I always saw long lines at this place so I decided to try it. They do have a lot of options on the menu which I liked. The service was quick and to the point. The burgers had a great taste. Reminds me of a Portillo's but with quicker service and more flavor. I only have 3 stars because the woman at the register was pushing the buttons on the register without gloves and then was preparing a hot dog. As soon as she prepared the hot dog, she put the food in the bag for another customer. After that she took my debit card so I know she has been handling money and touching other peoples food. Everyone in the back were preparing food gloveless as well but did have on masks. I am sure it could be a lot worse and I have heard horror stories at restaurants but this is not a good luck during this pandemic.

Been going to this location since we moved here 42 hrs ago . Don started up a great business. Now Joel does an equally good job . My wife even worked there about 35 yrs ago, and always said their standards for business were excellent. The hot dogs are the best.Don used to tell me that by eating a hot dog every day , he stayed healthy!
