Fancy Sushi - Ormond Beach

My friend and I visited a completely empty restaurant for lunch yesterday. After ordering our drinks, we waited eight minutes without receiving them. Then, a man entered and the same server immediately attended to him. After he ordered, he unexpectedly sat down next to my friend. He seemed unwell, reeked of alcohol, and began rambling incoherently while resting his hand on her shoulder. When our server finally came back, she had the audacity to ask if we were ready to order food. I informed her that we were leaving and took our business elsewhere. It's important to protect customers! Meanwhile, the male sushi chef merely stood by without offering any assistance. We will never return to this restaurant.

Ormond location: Went there for lunch and received a lunch portion of food for $20 which was supposed to be dinner sized. The server told me they double the shrimp which is 10 pieces and give extra veggies. I will tell you that the size stayed the same and they just doubled the shrimp for double the price. I eat at the palm coast location and it’s like night and day. The white sauce is better and my lunch portion there is as much as the dinner portion that I just paid 20$ for. Not happy at all!! Won’t be back. Palmcoast location is fire, go there instead.

I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. The shrimp tempura roll was rancid and could not be eaten. The management belittled our concerns refused to take accountability by saying their food is always fresh.

Low key private atmosphere. Great place for a lunch date. Sushi is good and reasonably priced.

Don't know how they got any good ratings. We were there at least 20 minutes before we got the water we asked for and gave our order. We didn't even get the soup and salad for another 20 minutes. The Rainbow roll was OK. The shrimp tempura was very crispy and tasted off. The sweet potato was not cooked. We had to ask for every little thing even plates for the sushi! The hibachi shrimp was bland, the noodles just OK and neither of us wanted to try the fried rice which looked terrible. My steak teriyaki was chewy and overcooked. Service was incredibly slow.
