Der Zauber Von OS - Osnabrück

Nice place with a variety of beers and nice burgers. The night I was there they had live music from 21.00 hr. Nice place to go for a drink or a quick bite.

We had heard a lot of good things about the place so we decided to have dinner there. Because the place is very popular we called ahead to book a table but were told that reservations were not acepted for the time slot between 7.30 and 9.30 p.m. and that we should just walk in.The Zauber of OS was absolutely full when we arrived and no attempt was made to accommodate us or seat us at the bar. What really bothered us was that we discovered that reservations must have been possible after all, as several tables were clearly marked accordingly.In the end we did not have dinner but had to leave, disappointed with the experience.

Inspired by the extra ordinary good reviews. The burger I can agree are delicious. The sizes were standard , all inside was fresh . My expectations , I admit , was higher. Nothing really I can complain. Additionally french fries were served. Also in combination with a small salad. The fries were okay , the salad with home dressing and hand cut salad. We tried to make a reservation. On their webpage a button for reservations are placed but without function. We left a note on the mailbox of the offered mobile number. At least we arrived and they couldn't find it. No reservation. We got food next to the cold entrance . The beer list is okay, hard to understand why some brands are printed on with the n/a sign. The ordered Budweiser was out by a more or less easy excuse . No suggestion for another beer. The food took 45 minutes , long time for a small restaurant like this . At least the prices are all overpriced . Atmosphere is okay but filled with students. Not everyone's style. Recommended place at all, but be aware, there are lot restaurants in OS

'The Zauber von OS' is a bar located near the train station. It serves a variety of snacks and additionally a large selection of burgers. On the drink side it is specialized on Gin, where you can choose from 12 different kinds of gin and 7 kinds of tonic water, as well as a variety of 'alternative' beers.I went here quite often during my time in Osnabrück and always had a wonderful experience. The food is superb and the chef is very flexible in terms of preparation (if it's not too busy). You can get a variety of vegetarian and vegan food, most recent addition was a Vegan Doner Kebab, which tastes just awesome. Often there is vegan cake.Prices are low to average with 8,50€ for a burger with fries. The ambience could be described as 'retro living room style', including couches from your grandma and a wild mixture of different tables/chairs. There is a N64 where you can play Mario Kart against your friends!

Beautiful atmosphere, somewhat student and alternative. options, both inside and outside to sit. friendly staff! a good restaurant for a group with different meals; also meat options.
