Benny's Place - Oswego

I ordered The Benny Burger with fries to go from a friendly server. The restaurant seems ideal for dining in, with a family-friendly atmosphere and its own unique twist.

I'm a proud black man. I work hard. Benny's Place called me and my family DIRTY! We won't be back.

I had never eaten at Benny's, but I was in the area so stopped for a quick breakfast. First, I want to say that the server was very nice. And the place was nice and clean. Unfortunately, the food was just not good at all. In looking at other reviews on yelp, it seems like the owner might want to take a look at the quality of their food preparation and techniques. I ordered a simple two egg breakfast with bacon, hashbrowns and toast. as soon as the flight was served, I could tell it was not going to be good. The hashbrowns looked extremely dry and unappetizing. The eggs were laced which makes them tough to eat. And the bacon and toast were both burned. Bacon was not only crisp, but it was black. The toast had a black ring around the edges on both pieces. And everything was absolutely flavorless. It doesn't seem like they used any oil to cook the hashbrowns, and nothing was seasoned. maybe their lunch is better. I will not give it another try.
