Waraku Kaiten Sushi - Otaru

Sushi here is alright. It's a tourist town so prices are on the higher end. And there's a long wait. Overall i don't think it's worth the wait. You can get much better stuff in Sapporo.

Very good quality and value for money sushi shop. Plates starting from 130yen and choices are plenty. English/Chinese/ Korean menu available as well if you want to order. Short queues during lunch time but moves fast

We actually went here because it was one of the few restaurants near our hotel that was still open relatively late. Everything closes early in Otaru due to Covid. The actual sushi was pretty good if you temper your expectations. I'd say it's above average for conveyor belt sushi, which doesn't say much since the bar for those is pretty low. Price is also a bit high, but the space itself is quite a bit more spacious than some of the other sushi places. The seasonal selection was surprisingly good, and so were the usual choice slices of salmon and maguro. Would definitely recommend it as a convenient choice, or if all you've ever known are the usual chain restaurants.

Tasty sushi with awesome service. Perfect for the coldest of weathers. We were a bit late (19:30) and the belt didn't have many options left, but all our orders swiftly arrived. Bluefin belly could've been fatter, but for its price it made total sense. Highly recommend the bbq miso silver flatfish, and the crab with salmon roe. Also, order your steamed egg before it runs out! Waiters and waitresses were way too polite it actually made me feel embarrassed for spending their time. Thanks for a great night. P.S. First restaurant shop in Otaru I found, with warm tap water in the washroom. It's more important than you could imagine.

The sushi was delicious, even though we had to wait around 30 minutes to be seated. Even though we came in at around 2:00, the restaurant was busy. You can tell it is a popular place! We enjoyed all of the selection, and thanks to an English menu, had no trouble ordering. Everything was tasty!
