Google searched for restaurants and found this nice little hidden gem. Only 6 seats available (nice for quick bite of full sit down). I only had an entrée and sushi, but it was delicious. The chief prepares everything in kitchen in view and freshly cut. One of the most generous proportions of fish on sushi I ever get, and was very happy. I wish I knew of it when I used to live in the region, I would have gone back frequently.
I strongly recommend the tomato tempura. Special and original, very delicious. Chirashi bowl is a good value. Seafood is very fresh and only costs 2000 Yen. Shop owner couples are friendly. Thanks for hosting us!
The sushi is very delicious. Fresh oysters are very fresh. Shishamo come in males and females. And the fried chicken must go cold beer!.
Literally stumbled in here on a whim on my way to dori. It's in an alley off of the arcade. They sat me upstairs and on my way up I noticed everyone was a local. Not one foreigner. Perfect. I ordered a fish called happaku which is a hard scale fish that was grilled and served either shio or miso style. I got the latter and it was delicious. The chef also frieds up the skin into strips that provided a nice crunchy texture. I ordered the nigiri set as well. I'm not sure why people think the wasabi is too much, to me it was just right. You can eat it the traditional way with your hands, dipping just the fish into soy sauce. The quality was excellent. The service was so friendly and good, graceful to a foreigner like me whose Japanese is 10 years rusty.
