Cornerstone And Grill, Byward Market

The food at this restaurant was quite enjoyable. My partner and I shared a marinated sirloin steak, which we cooked ourselves on a hot lava stone. This interactive cooking experience was probably the most fun I've ever had at a restaurant. Ultimately, the food was really excellent. However, I do have one critique: since our meal was advertised as serving two, we expected a bit more food to leave us feeling satisfied. The portion of meat was just right, but we would have appreciated a bit more rice and vegetables. Given that it wouldn’t have been expensive to add a little more of those components, I’m puzzled as to why they were so minimal. On a positive note, the service was delightful. A lovely young lady made sure our experience at Cornerstone was enjoyable and comfortable from beginning to end.

We dined on the patio, which was a lovely place for people-watching. The service was excellent, and while the food and drinks were decent, they weren't exceptional. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The service was incredibly slow; our waitress only came to our table two times. When we finally had to call another waitress for our bill, she rolled her eyes at us. One of our beers was missing, and my friend had to wait 30 minutes for his pizza after everyone else had finished eating. It's a good place if you want to practice your patience. We asked for the bill three times and were left feeling very disappointed. Overall, it was overpriced for the experience we had.

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Food was delicious, service superb. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Our waitress was great and her service was the lone bright spot of the night!The food on the other hand was a huge disappointment. Cold and soggy nachos that also had a 6$ charge for a few pieces of chicken. We had fries that were ice cold. The burgers were decent but nothing mind blowing. We saw that this place was pretty busy so we figured that it would be a safe bet. Not sure if we just came at a bad time but we left pretty disappointed.
