Bubba-q's - Ottumwa

My parents and I visit the city and we met some close friends for dinner here. Once we set ourselves, I immediately noticed all gluten-free options and the variety of meat choices on the menu. I chose the Bourbon Burger and it was perfectly cooked medium. When they came out, they had put the blows on my side, which was thoughtful to me! My father, being an enthusiastic griller, also saw the various remarkable competition trophies?. After dinner we conversed outside with our friends and the people came in at 9:00. You were busy throughout our visit (6-9), so you are recommended to have a larger group reservations. April was also great! She engaged our table and was friendly.

I've had BBQ all around the country, including some of the most famous places. I'm usually disappointed with overcooked (dry meats. Bubba-Q's is one of the best I've had in a long time. The pulled pork sandwich was perfect with a heaping helping of pork. The burnt ends were by far the best I've had (almost as good as my own. ? I can't wait to try the other offerings!

It was fun to try. We got the three meat dinner to share you get to pick three. We both really liked the pork, I liked the sausage (it has a little kick)and we both thought the beef was good. Just one BBQ sauce to choose sweet with a little heat. The buttered toast was really good. We got a baked potato, which was a generous size. Served with lite sour cream and margarine, which just doesn't take a baked potato to the next level...meh. We got salad for an extra side,which tasted good but was small compared to other places we've eaten. Didn't have a Western or a French dressing option. A classic BBQ feel spot. Server was average ..no eye contact or circling back to see how things were. Glad we got to try it, but wouldn't go out of our way to come back, I guess. Maybe if we'd gotten a sandwich we'd have felt differently?

Beef brisket all day! With the burnt ends. I really enjoyed Bubba Q BBQ house ? ? everything was well cooked and delicious ?. Definitely taste like a gem ? in this city. Unfortunately the customer service was not as good but the food definitely made up for it. Coleslaw was not as good as hoped. Same with the Mac and cheese it?s a bit to watery. but the meat is tasty!

I had the mushroom Swiss Burger and it was the best Burger I've eaten in a long time. I asked if I could have provolone cheese over mozzarella and they were more than happy to accommodate me. They seemed to lack a loo on waitresses this evening but my waitress did the very best she could to serve all of her customers
