We tried Aspen’s during restaurant week. We had excellent service and very good food. The ambiance is very nice and they even have games you can play which my daughter loved.
Service was very slow Had to tell the server several times what we ordered. Received my salad and our drinks after I was done with the main course. Music was so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other.
The appearance is super cute/trendy, they had fun board games for us to play while we waited for our drinks food and live music. Bang Bang shrimp are huge delicious, so was the Lobster Club. My only complaint was the waiting...we waited at least 15 20 min before anyone even came to our table, another 10 minutes for water, another 30 min for our actual drinks, another 30 min for our appetizer and then another 30 45 min for our actual meal. They seamed a bit unorganized as they tried to deliver us 2 items that we didn't order. But, I'd give them a 2nd chance :
Terrible experience! I had made a reservation for 7:00 pm on Friday evening. When we arrived to the restaurant, the hostess told us they were running behind about 15 minutes and invited us to take a seat at the bar. We gladly went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink. As we sat there the two bartenders passed back-and-forth in front of us, never acknowledging us until about 15 minutes later, while dirty drinks and napkins from the previous people remained on the bar top in front of us. When we finally placed our drink order we asked the bartender to take our credit card and close out our tab immediately because we expected our table would be ready soon. He did not take our credit card and we waited for our drinks. Another 20 minutes went by and we still had not received our drinks nor had we been told our table was ready. After waiting 45 minutes total without being served anything and not getting a table, we decided to leave. I stopped back at the hostess stand to let her know that we were leaving but she was nowhere in sight. We also experienced the bartender being rude to the customers next to us while we are waiting at the bar. They kindly tried to check on their food order. The bartender told them that wasn’t his job and that they had food runners. So I guess it’s the customers job to track down food runners and ask them about their food order at this restaurant… as my friend and I decided to leave and were putting on our coats, then the bartender finally decided to acknowledge us. I told him, “Sorry, we’ve waited way too long. We’re leaving.” He acted annoyed instead of apologetic.
