Cactus Grill - Overland Park

We visited this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. This friend has a wealthy husband who treats her to everything, so if he had been covering the bill, our shock at the total might have been lessened. We ordered two top-shelf margaritas, which were lacking in alcohol and overly dominated by sour mix. In an effort to lift our spirits and distract ourselves from the rude waitstaff, we also tried two "Margitinis." While those were enjoyable, they were quite small considering they cost $7 each. The food was adequate but forgettable. I only had an appetizer, the Navajo Nachos, while my dining partner opted for a taco salad. In the end, with four weak margaritas, an appetizer, and a taco salad, our bill came to over $60, including tax and tip. This disappointing dining experience left a bitter taste in my mouth, especially given the steep price.

The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding! We will definitely return! This was our first time dining inside. Our son and his friends usually order takeout, but we all really enjoy the grill!

Cactus Grill is absolutely fantastic! I visit this place every week. The food is incredible, and the service, atmosphere, and prices are exceptional as well. My friends and I frequent this restaurant regularly, and whenever we're out for a meal, Cactus Grill is our top choice! I also go with my parents at least once a week. I highly recommend everyone give it a try—you'll definitely want to return! While there can be a wait during busy times, it goes by quickly!

I've dined at The Cactus Grill in Overland Park three times over the past year, and each time has been a pleasure. In my experience, Mexican cuisine can either be fantastic or lackluster, and this restaurant definitely falls into the fantastic category. The fish taco was exceptional, and the chips were wonderfully crispy and thin. Although the salsa was decent, I found it to be average, and the hot salsa was just okay. Overall, I am very satisfied with my visits to The Cactus Grill.

The food prices are affordable for families and individuals alike. The atmosphere is vibrant, particularly during lunch hours. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal or drink on the patio when the weather is pleasant.
