Pizzeria Trattoria Mario - Oxford

Don't expect a fancy place, this is your neighborhood pizza restaurant. We didn't have the pizza but the other dishes were wonderful. We were recommended this by a hotel concierge who said great food at cheap prices. He was right. The server, Fabiena, was wonderful. We had their garlic focaccia, spag. Bolognese, and penne aglio. All were great. I had their salmon pasta which had marvelous taste but way too much salt skip the extra cheese.

No frills place: competent and professional staff, tasty food. Not fancy but clean and good food. Would come again. Is bigger on inside than it looks on outside.

Myself and my daughter enjoyed our meal very much. We had the spaghetti carbonara and the chicken tagliatelle. Large portions and very tasty and served nice and hot. Reasonably priced family Italian restaurant. Good service. Basic decor but that’s not a problem

Been here twice now. Amazing food and the calzone is great. Restaurant feels more like a take away than a restaurant with the ambiance. Not a particular place for the romantic evening. However well worth a visit and I’d happily go back again. With all the challenges with covid I was really happy to see them open and thriving
