Bananarama Bakery - Pahoa

I ordered the coconut bong, and although I wasn't initially impressed after the first bite, I'm so glad I kept eating because, wow! What a delightful surprise—it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!

I was thrilled to discover a vegan bakery after spending four days in Waikiki with very few choices! It was such a refreshing change.

We really enjoyed that everything is plant-based, including the "meat" and "cheese" in the strombolis. There were also many delicious-looking vegan baked goods for dessert to choose from.

For gluten-free broth and dog biscuits. the stromboli is amazing for lunch, and they have the best dessert! my favorites: ubu crinkle cookies, zitrone lilikoi bars, all cheesecakes, pineapple on the head cupcakes. so enthusiastic to have a vegan bakery near home!

Vegan, gluten free, kosher and all things nice. Being vegan is tough, being vegan and gluten free is even tougher so I very rarely eat dessert. I spotted this place on HappyCow and man was I a HappyHuman to find coconut lilikoi (passion fruit) cake! The cake was not too sweet which balanced well with the sweetness of the frosting. It was yum. I got two slices. I also tried the gluten free bread which was tasty when toasted but a bit crumbly when sliced. My friend got the chocolate banana cake and loved it. What a gem in a tiny little town. My only qualm, which is my qualm about most places, is that the to-go containers weren't sustainable.
