Írjon visszajelzéstThe food here is incredibly delicious and packed with nutrients! While the bowls may appear a bit small and pricey, they're quite filling and made with organic, locally sourced, fermented ingredients. The coffee is also excellent. The staff is extremely friendly, creating a great atmosphere. Mahalo!
This restaurant is a small, unassuming spot that’s best for take-out. If you prefer to eat in, there is a cozy seating area with large glass windows that allow for a bit of people-watching and provide some shelter from the occasional rain. The service was quick; the male staff member was very friendly, while the female staff member only seemed to perk up when her friend arrived. The dishes were visually appealing and had a fresh, complex flavor. The nachos were surprisingly satisfying, even though nachos are one of my favorite foods and I’m not a vegetarian (or vegan); I do appreciate vegetables, though. I enjoyed the personal touch of my pour-over coffee, but I have to admit I’m a fan of fake sugar, so the agave nectar didn’t quite give my coffee the taste I prefer. It's clear that the owners are passionate about their work, and I genuinely hope they find success. If they can maintain reasonable prices and high quality, they should thrive.
The care and attention-to-detail given to the ingredients was impressive. Each ingredient had a story as to why it was particularly good to eat on that particular day. The pears were likely the best I will eat all year. Not a vegan and dont care to be one, but this food was delicious and sticks out as a good memory from our trip. The shop is in the bottom of a two story building next to the Island Naturals Grocery store in Pahoa. Eat here on your way to get up close and personal with the Lava at HVNP.
New Plant-Based Restaurant in Pahoa – What an Amazing Place! The owners are wonderful, delightful, and truly passionate about what they do. They use all organic and locally sourced ingredients, emphasizing sustainable practices. I’m thrilled that Pahoa now has a fully vegan restaurant. Wishing them the best of luck!
I had Ulu pancakes the first visit. SO yum and I didn 't have the standard vega-stress ordering from their earth friendly menu because they don 't use any animal products. They also source local, fresh produce so the menu is always evolving. Mahalo for this dietary refuge Suze and Mike!
