Vecchia Trattoria Da Toto - PALERMO

Awful service from the start, waiter was rude and basically said hurry up and tell me what you want. Ordered and was told a sharp no it's finished, when I asked what was left he pointed aggressively and walked off. We then ordered 3 dishes and wine. The wine and water took another 15 mins to arrive whilst said waiter was chatting to everybody in front of us. The mussels arrived and were dry as hell. The next 2 dishes arrived 40 minutes later, during which time the waiter was rude to other people around. Whilst all this was happening 2 bars were playing competing music, it felt like some sort of Japanese torture. The seafood pasta finally arrived and was edible, then the fried calamari and prawns turned up. Fried within an inch of their life, like eating a JCB tyre. Sent them back and ordered the bill. As we did this the 2 sets of people around us did exactly the same. My advice steer clear of this place. The waiter with the glasses was a nice guy, the other....get in the bin you sweaty mess.

Well tonight was our second meal here. The first meal was great. It was 3 nights ago. Tonight a completely different experience. Our waitress was good until the end. We asked for our check 2x. We arrived at 8pm and didn’t leave til 10:05pm. 2 tables left well before us. One table was 6 people. Our party was only 2. She wouldn’t look our way. She would clean tables seat more guests. It was obvious to other tables. I have never experienced anything like this. We won’t be back. So sad. We made a second trip here because of the first time. So you have a 50/50 chance of getting good service: I can tell you, there are many more trattorias that give much better service. So if you want a $5 meal with $5 service go here. The only saving grace it that the food was good.

A real Sicilian experience. Nothing posh, just a Simple family business trattoria, friendly staff and delicious food. In the unique neighbourhood of La Vucciria! The fish is very fresh and cooked perfectly!! The prices are shockingly good!!

Trattore al bene dove siamo andati la prima sera del nostro arrivo a palermo in modo da non essere nel caos della vucciria era abbastanza il 1° piatto per capire la qualità e la semplicità della cucina , alla fine della cena abbiamo immediatamente prenotato per la prossima sera continuando ininterrottamente fino al locale chiuso per ferie ... il primo giorno di riaprire siamo stati di nuovo seduti ad un tavolo in cucina meno tre generazioni: andare a chiunque in zona

Ho mangiato bene, ma non abbondante. la porzione di pesce spada era sottile. anche prestare attenzione alla ricevuta. Un cameriere efficiente e veloce.
