Sa Trobada - Palma de Mallorca

We had a great lunch/dinner at this lovely family run cafe. The food was delicious and we had melt in the mouth entrecote and beer for 12 euros, fried fish, cheesecakes, crepes and coffees. The service was friendly, owners accomodated every request, warm and the food delicious. Our children loved the food and the atmosphere was great full of locas which is always a sign we look for. The prices are very reasonable considering the great food we had. Super quality and would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic place to eat in Palma away from the tourist spots. Worst restaurant experience of my life. The place had nice reviews (4,2 so we had hopes for our lunch. The menus were dirty and the paper had turned yellow in the industrially lit restaurant. I ordered the meatballs (7,5€ and so did my friend, my other friend ordered chicken nuggets. Both of the meatball orders were cold. The type of cold that makes you feel the meatball slowly making its way into your stomach. The meat was grey and grounded to a very fine level. It was the first time I ever sent back food, since it was cold, and my friend had to send his back twice to get it at least a little bit hotter. The last time we heard the familiar sound of the microwave *PLING* and the food came out. The marinara sause had exploded on the plate and was even covering the underside of the plate which is pictured in the photograph. We tried to get a discount or at least a coffee for the meals that was probably going to make us food poisoned but the saff was rude and unprofessional. It took the waiter 10 minutes to come back to our table after he left the bill, even though the restaurant was pretty much empty. I wouldn’t wish this food experience to my worst enemy and I am confused with the 4,2 rating. I hope this tourist trap gets shut down before summer.

I've been coming to Sa Trobada for years (seven) but this is the first time I'm reviewing it on TripAdvisor!! I discovered it by chance and there were times when I had breakfast and lunch on the same day. They don't do dinners. This small cafe/restaurant is run by a very friendly husband wife, Raffael Antonia(speaks very good English) and their team. Frequent daily by the locals and tourists who happen to be wandering down the lane. This is a quiet, cosy little place with good food and delicious tapas!! Even just coffee!! They also offer cost effective breakfast lunch too. You would be pleasantly surprised!!

Con diferencia los mejores bocadillos de calamares!!! Ambiente limpio, servicio rapido y eficiente, personal amigable, precios correctos tirando a bajos, comida , menu del dia variado y en pleno centro: la mejor opcion!!!

Sólo estuve desayunando a primera hora de la mañana. Aún escaseaba el público que empezaba a llegar cuando yo ya salia. Buen servicio y buena consumición. Está bien ubicado, en calle peatonal, que es de agradecer.
